Welcome to our new instructor Peter Qui. Peter has a background in statistics and has been playing chess competitively for  the past 10 years. He has successfully represented both British Columbia and Canada in chess competitions and was a member of U of Toronto’s team at a Canadian University Chess Championship.  He has experience teaching children the fundamentals and strategies of chess and is looking forward to passing on his love for and knowledge of this game to his students. Chess for Children is a fun and educational program designed for young minds to learn and master the game of chess. This program is suitable for children aged 5 to 9 years. The cost for the program is $132.

In this program, children will learn the basics of chess, including the rules, strategies, and tactics. They will develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and improve their concentration and patience. The classes are conducted in a supportive and engaging environment, ensuring that each child receives individual attention and guidance. Please Note: Space is limited.
