Instructor: Elise Plant
Elise attended Claude Watson High School as a dance and drama major, then graduated with a BFA in Theatre from York University. Following, Elise trained in New York at ‘Circle In The Square Theatre School.’ Elise is an award-winning choreographer and director and has performed in both dance and theatrical productions across Canada. Elise has extensive experience teaching a variety of styles of dance as well as musical theatre and drama to children of all ages, teens, and adults.

C401 Introduction to Ballet/Jazz/Hip Hop (5 - 7 Years) Sunday
This class is designed to introduce little ones to the world of ballet and jazz dance. With instruction in the fundamentals of ballet, the children will be taught positions, steps, and some basic ballet moves. The jazz element will also have instruction in the fundamentals of jazz dancing, both modern and contemporary, some of which will include positions, steps, floor work and choreographed jazz dance moves. Students will tell stories through dance over the course of the session using elements of both ballet and jazz.
C402 Contemporary Dance | 8 - 10 Years, Sunday
This class will involve instruction in a variety of contemporary dance genres such as jazz, lyrical and hip hop. Students will learn the fundamentals of each style through floor work, and practising skills and techniques. They will prepare and perform a routine at the end of the term.
